Today we heard the paper on the role of CBL-b in atherosclerosis was accepted in the European Heart Journal !
Although Hessel and Gerry could only make a small contribution, we are very proud to be part of this teameffort for which all credits should go to Tom Seijkens and Esther Lutgens.
After a long struggle the application of TRAF-stops to promote organ acceptance after transplantation has been finally accepted for publication in “Immunity”.
A true collaborative study that could never have been performed by any of the individual labs involved.
1+1+1+1 = 10 !
glad to have made a humble contribution

Both Bogac and Johana held excellent presentations at the FEBS congress in beautiful Prague.
Great job!
Another nice comment was published on our JACC study, this time in Nature Reviews Cardiology

Today we heard that both Hessel and Bogac managed to have manuscripts accepted through collaborative studies we performed with the groups of Oliver Soehnlein in Munich and with Karen Vanhorelbeke in Kortrijk:
Chrono-pharmacological targeting of the CCL2-CCR2 axis ameliorates atherosclerosis

Today the JACC paper on the use of small molecule inhibitors of TRAF6 to prevent and reduce atherosclerosis is out.
The journal has dedicated an editorial comment to it, closing with: the future is here, After 20 years of investigating the inflammatory hypothesis in the biology of atherosclerosis, the time to translate the experimental findings to humans may finally have come.
Today we co-organised the NSBM Fall Meeting.
