Today, after a long long time, many revisions and extra work, Hessel’s manuscript on the existence and non-existence of cation-pi interactions was published online by the FEBS Journal. It shows that one should never give up if you are convinced the data are correct, while reviewers have other believes. Many thanks to our collaborators from Brussels who, following a completely different approach, obtained results that are completely in line with the statistical analyses done by us.
